This exhibition is at Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary, AB.
Welcome to The Winter Lodge, where art conveys narratives deeply entwined with the land we call home. This exhibition invites you into a space interwoven with the threads of tradition, culture, and our profound interconnectedness with Turtle Island.
Through a fusion of visual and auditory expressions, BIPOC artists unite to unveil truths embedded within shared and diverse heritages. Within the gallery walls, the relationship of inside versus outside is explored, each artwork as a portal, urging us to see beyond the surface and reflect on our connection to the land itself. In The Winter Lodge, the power of collective storytelling unfolds, echoing the richness that emerges when voices meet in celebration of our shared cultural heritage. Step into the embrace of this collective narrative and let The Winter Lodge be a space where the echoes of our interconnected stories resonate.
